Gaura Purnima 2011 Festival Report

This was probably the most successful festival yet except of course for famous Janmasthami maha festivals. More than 1,000 devotees and guest gathered for the occasion of Gaura Purnima festival in our temple.

Festival stage was nicely decorated with scores of grapes, oranges and melons hanging from the ceiling. Tens of meters of garlands were made by congregational devotees and placed on the stage.

Program was rich and schedule tight with bhajans, abhiseka, short lecture and kirtan. Gokula Candra prabhu spoke on significance of Caitany Mahaprabhu's appearance and extraordinary mercy carried by Him.

There was also a talk on coming manifestation of Mahaprabhus mercy in the form of beautiful temple and some new 3d images of the temple were shown for the first time.

Special feature of this festival was drama on liberation of Chand Kazi expertly rendered by Savyasaci Prabhu and bh.Nitin and others which was intersperse with ecstatic kirtans led by Citta Hari Prabhu.

Prasadam was distributed to all visitors and guests.
